How much we charge Considering the wide range of services we offer there cannot be a standard rate. The rates for our translations vary according to your specific requirements and depend on the complexity, technicality and structure of the texts. Very often texts, which seem harmless at first, turn out to have lexical, stylistic or structural peculiarities which may be difficult to handle in the target language. In order to guarantee quality of a very high standard, careful research as well as consultation of specialised literature and / or cross-checks with experts may be necessary, which can ultimately be very time consuming. Furthermore stylistically challenging texts or texts characterised by a high advertising effectiveness usually tend to demand more time, as the specific intention and the stylistic peculiarities both in the source and in the target language have to be carefully taken into account. For translating texts of a non-specialised nature we usually charge € 1.16 per line (55 characters). This, however, is only a basic rate which can vary according to the type of text, technicality or urgency. As more research activities are involved in the translation of technical texts, rates for technical translations tend to be higher than the price mentioned above (€ 1.38). However, we grant discounts on the translation of large documents. For other projects such as copywriting or glossaries, the rates depend on your particular needs and the actual volume of the project. Therefore it is important to know as much as possible about the service you require. In order to submit a reliable quote it is essential to define clearly the volume and objective of your project.
